Established to honor graduates who have made significant achievements in their chosen fields or have provided outstanding service to society, the MVU Hall of Fame recognizes alumni whose accomplishments bring distinction to the school and serve as positive role models for current students.
Each year, the MVU Hall of Fame Committee will induct up to five honorees. The program honors former MVU students who graduated more than 15 years ago and have reached excellence in their careers while demonstrating exceptional citizenship, leadership, and service. Nominees are recognized for enhancing the reputation of Missisquoi Valley Union High School through their professional success, life achievements, and meaningful contributions to society at the local, national, or international level. Post-secondary education is not required for nomination, as the Hall of Fame seeks to recognize excellence and impact across all career paths.
Nominees may be considered in the following categories:
- Medicine / Science
- Arts / Entertainment
- Business / Professional
- Humanitarian / Service
- Athletics Lifetime Recognition
Former students should have received meritorious recognition for unique contributions to their vocation and demonstrate outstanding qualities of leadership and citizenship.
Daniel Palmer, Principal of Missisquoi Valley Union High School stated: “The Hall of Fame is our opportunity to celebrate those individuals whose dedication, work ethic, and service reflect the values we strive to instill in our students every day. We encourage our community to help us recognize these inspiring role models.”
Nominations are open to the public, and anyone may submit a nomination. All nomination materials must be submitted by April 1 to be considered for induction during the current year. Nominations not selected will remain on file for consideration in future years.
