Tessa Massett, of the MVU PE Department, organized a Hands-Only CPR training for most of the MVU 7th graders on Thursday, April 30th. This training, led by Nick Strance from the American Heart Association, focused on teaching students this life saving skill in a simple, hands-on way to the tune of the 1970's band, The BeeGee's hit single, Staying Alive.
The experience was similar to the CPR training MVU's full staff participated in at the beginning of the school year, reinforcing the same important concepts and techniques. Massett's overall goal is to help empower students with the confidence and knowledge to respond in a cardiac emergency and potentially save a life.
