MVU's Esports team has claimed the Vermont State Championship in Super Smash Brothers and earned an invitation to the New England finals. The team also competed in the statewide Rocket League championship and hosted an in-house tournament in the MVU theater that drew more than 40 attendees. The program's success is credited in part to MVU teacher Ryan Burns and community partners Alan Cunningham and Hunter Denault from Northwest Access.
