The MVU Agriculture, Food and Natural Resources department offers classes in Diversified Agriculture with the opportunity for students to specialize in Animal Science, Natural Resource Management, or Agricultural Mechanical Systems.  Classroom instruction is supplemented with ample hands on and project based learning opportunities in our wide variety of facilities. All classes include field trips to local and regional agricultural businesses, organizations, and educational facilities.  All students receive leadership training and are eligible and encouraged to compete in Career Development Exercises (CDE's) through the FFA.  Enrollment in any of the course offerings entitles the student to become a member of the FFA.  Membership is highly encouraged.  MVUHS has an active FFA chapter, which provides students with opportunities to strengthen leadership skills taught in the classroom and develop confidence that enhances their individual talents and strengths. Students may participate in over 50 award and scholarship programs that recognize achievement in skill development.
