Why Students Should Learn a Foreign Language

​

Our students should be able to:

  • Understand conversation of a native speaker on familiar topics
  • Communicate with a native speaker and use conversation skills that are culturally appropriate 
  • Read with comprehension from a variety of authentic texts
  • Write creatively and criticallyon a variety of topics to demonstrate knowledge of the target culture

Prerequisites: Spanish I or 7th & 8th grade Spanish
