HEALTH EDUCATION

Gr. 9 - 1 period - 1 semester - ½ credit

This required course is designed to aid students in their transition from adolescence to young adulthood. Students will learn behaviors and practice skills that will help them make informed, healthy choices that positively affect the health, safety, and well-being of themselves and others. A variety of teen issues are discussed that focus on decision making and problem solving skills. Specific units of study include: Mental Health and Wellness, Alcohol, Tobacco and Other Drugs, and Interpersonal Relationships.
